What qualifications do your millwrights have?
Our crews are Red Seal certified journeyman millwrights working to interprovincial trade standards. Owner Jesse Messom is a Red Seal millwright who also holds an MBA and a PMP certification, so trade skill and formal project management are built into how every job runs.
Can you handle precision and laser alignment?
Yes. Precision alignment is core millwright work for us. We use laser and dial-indicator methods to align drives and rotating equipment, then verify the alignment before handover so machinery runs true and holds its service life.
What plant equipment and machinery do you work on?
Pumps, motors, gearboxes, drives, rotating equipment, and production and assembly machinery, along with the conveyor and material handling systems around them: belt, roller, chain, gravity and sortation. We install new equipment, relocate existing lines, align and commission them, and fabricate the platforms, guarding and supports each install needs.
How do you keep our operation running during the work?
We plan downtime around you. Every job runs on a PMP-built schedule with staging and sequencing set before we arrive, and the work is scheduled into a production window that suits your operation. If an unplanned breakdown hits, our emergency crews respond.
Do you provide emergency millwright services?
Yes. We run emergency response for machinery failures, seized bearings, conveyor jams, and rigging needs. Call (403) 679-2845 and we will dispatch a crew.
What safety certifications does Horizon maintain?
We are WCB covered and Avetta compliant for regulated sites, and our crews work to Alberta industrial safety standards. Our safety record includes five years with zero lost-time injuries.

Can you support a planned shutdown or turnaround?
Yes. We scope, sequence and crew planned shutdowns and turnarounds so the work fits the window you have. Overhauls, replacements, alignment and modifications are planned before the line comes down. Each one is checked and signed off before it goes back up. The restart is not the first time anyone finds out whether the work holds.
